For the past 2 updates, sound-related features/menus have been terrible when using wireless...

Before the last 2 updates, everything was working fine with the same headset (I'm using a laptop that has good enough specs to run games like Genshin Impact above 30 FPS so I doubt its actual lag but software instability), now whenever I connect my Bluetooth headset to my laptop the volume bar which is supposed to be in the top left corner won't appear any more or is delayed for more than 10 seconds, the volume shortcut on the taskbar suffers from this as well when pressing it or right-clicking it. The sound menu in settings only opens after about 15 seconds of waiting. Today, after seeing how long this issue persists for I've decided to personally go through every driver and manually update it, but nothing did the trick. I am now coming here for help, could there be a broken system file that I need to fix or the such? I've troubleshooter Bluetooth and audio multiple times and not once did it work. Something else that isn't working that seems related is video playback in any browser or website, have not tried it in a built-in app but I'm assuming it will be the same

*Everything works fine on the built-in speaker

    Feature suggestion: Add right-click menu

Suggestion: Please add a Windows 7 Jump-List and/or right-click menu to the GPU-Z icon in the Windows taskbar. Possible menus in it would be "Exit" and "About GPU-Z...".
Maybe also "Switch to tab 1/Switch to tab 2/Switch to videocard 1/Switch to videocard 2" too.
Examples of programs that have such menus are ICQ, Skype, AIM.

NOTE: It seems for a right-click menu, Windows 7 is not needed - it works on WinXP and Vista too.
But even a Windows 7 Jump-list may be good enough.
    What do you think?

  3. Sound is terrible

    Hi,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community and showing your interest in Windows 10.

In order to help you better, please provide the information:

    • What is the make and model of the system?
    • Do you face the same issue when you plug in an external speaker?
I suggest you to go through the following article and check if that helps:

Fix sound problems in Windows 10

If issue still persists I would suggest you to Uninstall and Reinstall the Sound Drivers.

Step 1: Uninstall the Sound Drivers.

    a. Press “Windows Logo” +
    “X” keys on the keyboard.

    b. Click on “Device Manager” from that list.

    c. Search for the Sound Drivers from the device list, right click
on it and then select “Uninstall”. On the un-installation window, if you have an option: “Delete the driver software for this device” you may select that and then remove the corrupted
    drivers from the computer.

    d. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete it and then
    restart the computer if prompted.

After the restart, please go ahead with the next steps to install the latest drivers and check if that resolves the issue.

Update Driver Software from the Manufacturer’s website:

Step 2: Go to the manufacturer’s website and search for the latest Windows 10 drivers available for the Sound Drivers and then install it.

Hope this information helps you. Please do let us know if you need further assistance.
