  1. Forced Update on Windows 10 PRO with auto updates disabled by group policy

    Hello

Today I was using my Dell laptop as usual and after some time I wanted to shut it down. Instead of shutting down updates were installed(Before shutting it down there were no notifications or anything suggesting that updates are being downloaded etc.). This is weird because I have Windows 10 PRO and I have disabled auto updates in group policy. I've looked around and so far I have found out that only thing new is "Meet now" icon on the taskbar and only update that was installed is KB4592449.

How could it happen with auto updates disabled? Is it common for this particular update? Is "Meet now" tied to this particular update or is it a separate thing?

Thank you in advance for any suggestions

Creative X-Fi Soundcards and Windows 10 Fall Creators Update 1709 = Complete Disaster / Not Working

Thank you for trying to help , i did tried your suggestion but it did not work :/ , nothing seems to make it work on Windows 10 Fall Creators Update 1709. In the meantime i have bought a new SoundBlasterX AE-5 and it did installed flawlessly , no problems whatsoever. it is up to Creative ( drivers ) and Microsoft ( bug fix ) to fix this huge bugs with Audio.

    Kind Regards: Chispy

Forced Update on Windows 10 PRO with auto updates disabled by group policy

[Windows 10] hide/prohibit install of specific Windows Update

I have never intentionally used windows to provide my device drivers (except for older printers without Vendor drivers for clients). I only manually update from the vendor websites. Will just have to make a list of things to disable/remove if I finally decide to load it up on a machine.
