Windows 10: Forced update wiped my computer.

I just booted up and found that Microsoft did a forced update that wiped my computer clean. It is now like an out of the box brand new computer save for virus software, quicken, and turbo tax. No pictures, no files, my business is gone, no favorites. Nothing. Any suggestions? I am out of business.

I recently put my work computer to sleep mode and left for the day. In the morning it was slow to wake up and when it did, I noticed that
all off my data was wiped out. My Intuit Quickbooks company file was gone, everything. I brought my computer in for repair and was informed that some select people get wiped out when there is a forced Microsoft
update. This is terrible! Microsoft is a major player. How can this be overlooked? This cost me money for repair and several days of lost work not to mention payroll that needs to take place immediately. There is some info online about this and I see a
few suggestions that it moved data to TEMP files and that I should go through about 100 steps to reestablish the blah blah blah, but why do I need to correct this in the first place?

Maybe you can remote into my computer and fix it for me. My husband is not very computer literate and I work 10 hour days. When I get home I do not want to be messing with the computer to fix an issue that should not of happened anyhow. It was a forced windows
update . I am not trying to sound hateful but it has been very stressful trying to get the computer back to how it was for him to use for his business. He was used to it the way it was and now everything seems wiped out. The autofill and everything... I have
tried some of the steps and nothing seems to work. Even the system restore does not have a date other than 07/30. It is kind of like it wiped out everything.

 

Wiping computer

Your report suggests that your installation has suffered some damage which prevents Windows from doing a reset. In such stubborn cases I would do this:

1. Create a new media installation disk:
   
   Windows 10 herunterladen
2. Run setup.exe on this disk.

It would wipe everything, including your data and all applications.
