Windows 10: Forget my pin button not working. It goes back to logon screen without anything else. How...

Win 11 Forgot my pin tab just goes in a loop back to logon screen. It doesn’t provide any options besides the “forgot” tab. All directions here are not helpful as they talk of going to the settings. I can’t sign in to do that or anything else.
