Windows 10: 'Forgets' digital licence

My Samsung Book2 has had an odd problem from new. At random intervals it 'forgets' the digital license it contains and the 'activate' watermark appears and in Settings it says it is unlicensed. The only way of getting rid of it is to reinstall, which loses all my installed apps, etc. I've done this 4 times. When I do this, the watermark vanishes, only to appear days or weeks later. It appears to be totally random. Of course I can live with the watermark and the other problems it causes, but it's irritating. None of the other options under Activation do anything. I'm mystified. Hi,

hoping someone can help me. I have significantly upgraded my PC (almost everything apart from BD and case!) and have had to re-install Windows. The digital licence I had associated with the original PC will not install on my new PC and tells me it is
invalid. From memory the old licence was associated to an old Windows 8.1 licence I bought many years ago.

Is there anyway to utilise the digital licence. The only licence on my account I can use is a licence associated to a laptop that I actively use. Although the old PC is listed as have a digital licence.

Revoking Digital Licence -- possible ????

Digital licences are sort of half way between oem and retail. You can transfer them to a new device (regardless of original licence status) but it is not unlimited. They can only be transferred three time (At last within a short period. I have never tested doing it weeks apart). Also, digital licences cannot be transferred between virtual machines and physical machines.

Full Retail keys do not have the above restriction albeit telephone activation may be needed periodically to transfer the licence (just a security check by MS to avoid wholesale piracy).

It is alleged you cannot transfer between laptops and desktops, but I cannot verify that - I have seen conflicting evidence to suggest that is "hit or miss".

I think of digital licences as "Restricted Retail" as opposed to "Full Retail".
