Windows 10: Forgot in Windows 10 password and no response to 'I forgot my Password

The password I have used since I purchased this laptop has always worked, but suddenly it will not accept this password. Underneath the Password box is 'Forgot Password' which I have clicked on without any result, it just retuirns to the main Password screen. This is the main sign in to the laptop and I am using Windows 10. I have tried all always to get into BIOS to allow me to change the main password. All I get after switching on is the Password box

you know when you boot up your computer... and yeha i have more than one account and I forgot the password to one of them.

is there anyway for me to get in to the account? or the account will be perminant lock if i dont remember password?

Forgot Windows 10 password...

So I fired up my laptop in order to use it to flash a router without mucking around with the rest of my networking... and I forgot the password to log in. Is there anything I can do short of reinstalling windows, or downloading a Linux LiveCD? (If I do have to download something, I'd prefer the file size to be as small as possible, because of evil data caps)

Um, are we talking about a windows password?

Lookup a program called Active Password Changer, its a bootable cd that will remove windows passwords *Smile

If it's a bios password, reset the bios *not so easy with some notebooks*
