Windows 10: Forgot my password on a brand new laptop HP Microsoft Windows 10

I have a brand new laptop Microsoft Windows 10 and I think it said it's 365 version or something it didn't come with any instructions. I got to set up my email address and that information I put a password in and then forgot since I have this laptop I do like to use it so is there any way you can do it from your office and let me reset

Forgot Windows 10 password...

So I fired up my laptop in order to use it to flash a router without mucking around with the rest of my networking... and I forgot the password to log in. Is there anything I can do short of reinstalling windows, or downloading a Linux LiveCD? (If I do have to download something, I'd prefer the file size to be as small as possible, because of evil data caps)

Forgot Windows 10 password...

If it's a Microsoft account, you should be able to change the password via another computer at live.com and the password should also change to match on the computer (obviously make sure it has internet access first). The password is verified online during login.
