Windows 10: Forgot password

The other morning, my password expired and I updated it. when I got home from work later that day, whatever I updated it to, isn't correct. I have spent 3 days chasing my tail on the Microsoft website without finding anything that works or to contact anyone who would be interested in helping. Everything I try, I get thwarted by needing the password. Knew nothing of the USB recovery. I am at a loss, what do I do?

you know when you boot up your computer... and yeha i have more than one account and I forgot the password to one of them.

is there anyway for me to get in to the account? or the account will be perminant lock if i dont remember password?
