  1. Forgot to make backup disc for free version of Windows 10.

    Hello,

I downloaded Windows 10 when Microsoft had the OS for free. However, I forgot to make a backup copy of the OS, and now that support for Windows 7 Home Premium edition is coming to an end, is there still a way to get the Windows 10 software for free? I know the 'free' trial date has come and gone already, but after trying to use the Media Creation Tool to install the Windows 10 OS using the ISO file, it didn't work. I tried installing and uninstalling the OS at least four times, but I would always get an error message in the end. I think that I need a 'hard copy' version of Windows 10 and not an ISO file. The Media Creation Tool also gave me an error message that my laptop wasn't even compatible with the tool, yet I had no trouble downloading it and running it until I ran into the error message. I was going to contact Microsoft through email, but apparently I could only find a phone number for them, and I find it easier to explain things in an email then on the phone. Any help would be greatly appreciated! By the way, I have contacted this community in the last week, and although I got some great help, none of it helped. Thanks.

    :)

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

  4. Forgot to make backup disc for free version of Windows 10.

Reliable backup software for Windows 7?

Thanks. Do you know if Easus ToDo Backup Free offers an option to just preserve the full Windows folder structure, without using some disc image format?

I mean, what happens if Easus ToDo Backup is not upgraded for, say, Windows 11 and I need to access the files in a disc image that I had made on Windows 10?
