Windows 10: Forgot Windows Password

I am unable to login to my laptop. It is asking for password. "Forgot my password" option does not do anything, it bring it back to the login screen. PIN option also does not work, said that is not available at the moment. Tried to login with Microsoft account, also does not recognize my MSFT Account password. Could someone please share how to reset the password or get support for that? Also, is there a way to access data in this situation to back it up if we need to do a complete windows reinstall. Thank you.

Um, are we talking about a windows password?

Lookup a program called Active Password Changer, its a bootable cd that will remove windows passwords *Smile

If it's a bios password, reset the bios *not so easy with some notebooks*

you know when you boot up your computer... and yeha i have more than one account and I forgot the password to one of them.

is there anyway for me to get in to the account? or the account will be perminant lock if i dont remember password?
