Windows 10: forgotten email password preventing me from downloading NETFLIX APP

Hello, I signed up to Netflix and wish to download it's App for my Windows 10 computer, however I have hit a brick wall.


When I try to download the APP the Windows Store wants me to use an email address that I apparently used when first setting up Windows *** Email address is removed for privacy *** it requires me to type in the password, however I cannot recall it and I don't think I have ever used this account. I tried to reset the password but it wishes to text me a code, the problem is that I unfortunately gave my landline phone number when setting up windows, so obviously I can't receive the text.


My only other option was to answer security questions giving as much info as possible, for instance it requires me to to tell it other passwords I have previously used, I have no idea whatsoever so can't give this, it also asks for possible subjects, I have no idea of these either, after proceeding it informed me that I haven't provided enough info for it to allow me to change my password. even though I gave my name and date of birth.


I'm very seriously ill and my partner purchased me a Netflix subscription as a Christmas gift and it's running out and I can't use it. If anyone can please help me to get out of this mess I would appreciate it.

There could be a number of factors as to why you are having issues launching the Netflix app. This could be caused by a software conflict or due to an issue with the application itself.

I suggest that you reset your Netflix application by following the steps provided below:

• Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & Features.
  
• Click the Netflix app from the list and then choose Advanced options.
  
• Click Reset.

If the issue persists, you can consider uninstalling and reinstalling the device. To uninstall, follow these steps:

• Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & Features.
  
• Click the Netflix app from the list and then choose Uninstall.

Method 2:

Uninstall the App, restart the system and then try re-installing the App from Store.

Follow these steps.

a) Right click on the Netflix, click on
Uninstall.

b) Click on store.

c) Search for Netflix App.

d) Click on Install.

There's a possibility that the firewall or antivirus software on your computer is blocking the access to Netflix, we suggest disabling it first before connecting to Netflix. Follow these steps:

• Close the Netflix app.
• Turn off the firewall and antivirus software on your computer.
• Now, launch the Netflix app.
• Once it's connected to Netflix, turn back on the firewall and antivirus software on your computer.
• You should be able to access Netflix now.
