Windows 10: Forgotten login for Toshiba laptop WindowsXP Media Center 2005

I have forgotten the password to an older Toshibe Satellite with Windows XP Media Center 2005

I had the same problem on a laptop from Dell, it said version 2002, when the microsoft tag said 2005. The system information reports it has 2002, but you have 2005 installed, you need to load up media center and navigate to the system properties in media center, it will say its 2005 there.

Get as many updates from Microsofts website as you can.

 

Anyone got XP Media Center 2005?

Hey, I just bought a laptop with Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 but I didn't get the built-in TV tuner because it's way too expensive. I'm wondering, are all (or ANY) PCMCIA TV tuners be compatible with Media Center? I mean will they work with Window's software? Like that cool streamline screen? I hope it doesn't have to be a "windows recognizes this as a TV Tuner compatible with Media Center Edition" kind of thing, hopefully you just install drivers and make windows find tv tuner hardware. Anyone know? I have about a day to change my order if I have to. Thanks guys

 

Toshiba satellite 2005 laptop slow loads and not responding windows 10

I have a 2005 Toshiba satellite laptop and i got a new computer recently. i wanted to let my granddaughter use the Toshiba but it is running slow and has not responding often what can i do to speed it up i have no clue what to do. help please any suggestions? Has windows 10 OS
