Windows 10: Forgotten power on password

Does anyone know a way to wipe and restore my computer from the startup password screen? Recently had my account compromised and set a startup password, didn't write it down and am now locked out of my computer! I cannot get further than attempting the administrator/power on password. Please tell me there has been someone else with this ridiculous self imposed problem and that it can be resolved...
