Windows 10: Format 4.7gb DVD +R RW - Windows 11

I want for format my 4.7gb DVD + R RW. The current free space on the dvd is 641mb. The rest is used. I want to reformat this dvd back to it's original size but Windows dvd format will only format the free 641mb, not the full capacity dvd.Does anyone know a solution?Thanks,Art

• Are you getting any error messages when formatting a DVD-R/RW disc?If yes, what is the exact error message?
  
• Have you tried formatting a DVD-R/RW disc to other DVD-R/RW drive?
• Have you tried inserting other disc like DVD movies or mp3 disc to check if the DVD-R/RW drive is working?

DVD RW Drive E not recognizing formatted Verbatim DVD-R Disc

My DVD RW Drive E does not recognize a formatted Verbatim DVD-R Disc that I am trying to burn.

Any suggestions?

8x DVD-R DL(Dual Layer)

8x DVD+R DL(Dual Layer)

5x DVD-RAM

I noticed in your original post you said formatted DVD-R and assumed it was a typo. You don't format a DVD-R. You just burn it.
