Windows 10: Format For WIndows 11 Local Account Profile Pictures

Windows 11 profile pictures can be in the following file formats: png, gif, bmp, and tif. In order to better fit the demensions of the profile picture you should use a square that is 256x256px. Hope this helps someone.

Deleting old MS account profile photos

Are you referring to the local account profile picture? If you are, there's no automatic method of deleting profile picture. However, you can still remove unwanted profile pictures through
Windows Explorer. Follow the steps below:

• Select the Start button.
• Copy and paste the path below and then press Enter.
  • %appdata%\Microsoft\Windows\AccountPictures
• Delete the unwanted profile picture.

Thank you for writing to Microsoft community forum.

Please note that you will not be able to change the profile picture for all the user accounts if they are Microsoft accounts. If the user accounts are Microsoft account, the profile picture should be changed by signing in to:
https://account.microsoft.com/ and if the user account is a local account, then you can change the Account picture (provided you are
signed into that account)by following the steps provided below:

1. Open Windows Settings.
   
2. Then click on Accounts.
   
3. Then click on image/blank icon to change it.
