Windows 10: Format issue

I clicked format on something call "New volume" and it gave me a warning so i pressed cancel, when i did that i closed my tabs and see all my apps in my home screen aren't there anymore but my files are still there help, please??

Run CMD


1. diskpart
2. list disk

Then in the 3º step, put the correct number of disk in the list for the usb flash (if it's listed in disk 3, then you'll have to write select disk 3).

2. select disk #
3. clean
4. create partition primary
5. select partition 1
6. active
7. format fs=fat32
8. assign
9. exit

with that commands you will format the flash drive in fat32, if you have a large drive you can select also "format fs=ntfs" in step 7.

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

 

Issues with installation of new MSATA SSD

Thanks Navy, I did wonder if it had unselected the EFI partition. Edit: I used the command to list the partitions on the C: drive and select the system partition and then proceeded to format it as originally suggested. I just need the steps that followed when you happen to get that spare moment.
