Format of File Explorer changed on me.

I'm not visual, so it's difficult to explain how my File Explorer used to look, but one thing for sure is that there was a little icon somewhere in the upper right where I could easily change the type of display of files, Extra Large Icons, Large Icons, Detail... etc. Now I have to choose the View menu to find those choices. My current view is dark blue across the top. I don't think that was the case before. Can I get back to the view with the quick way to change the display?

    Changing Time Format

    Hi Mary,

There's a possibility that the set up time format in your computer Basic Input/Output System (BIOS) is military time. To have this checked, you can try to reset the time of your computer through Control Panel. See the steps below on how to do
    so:

    • Open Control Panel > Clock, Language, and Region >
Change date, time, or number formats. This would open the
      Region
      window.
    • From there, click on Additional settings at the bottom part. It will open the Customize Format.
    • Click Reset; then, OK.

The steps should work; however, if not, we suggest that you contact manufacturer and have the BIOS time checked.

Let us know what happens after doing the suggestions .

  3. Change date format in File Explorer

    Hi Peter,

Thank you for posting in Community.

Before we proceed, I would like you to provide the information stated below:

Are you trying to change the format of the date that reflects besides your files and folders in File Explorer?

If that is the case then, I would like to inform you that you will be able to do so only if you change the system date format. To do so follow the steps below:

    1. Click on the Time and Date that is located in the system tray on the task bar.

    2. Click on Date and Time Settings.

    3. Locate Additional Date, Time and Regional Settings.

    4. Click on Date and Time.

    5. Change Date and Time and then click on Change Calendar Settings.

    Hope this helps.
