    Format usb flash drive


    Hi looking for a good program to format my USB flash drive.
    Windows 10 won't recognise my flash drive it knows it's there but it's not showing up in drives I used the flash drive in my zgemma and the zgemma changes the partition in some way so PC won't recognise it now.

    I used a low level format tool the last time it happened and it worked but it also deleted the partition so don't want to make the same mistake again I tried cc cleaner but to be honest I don't really know how to do it with that so I would like to use a free simple tool to get the job done if anyone can help it would be much appreciated thanks.

    Flash Drive format for creating a Recovery Drive?

    Hello,

    I don't think you have to worry about FAT32 or NTFS. If you insert a USB flash drive and create a recovery drive, Windows 10 should format the USB flash drive for what you needed. Windows 10 should format automatic.

    I use RmPrepUSB but I'm not sure it fits any reasonable definition of "simple". Every time I use it I fear I'll set a wrong parameter and wipe out something critical. But on the other hand, I never have wiped out anything. It has never caused problems (if you discount worry).
