  2. micro sd

    Hi,

    See my answers below

SD card up to 32-GB SDHC cards should be formatted in FAT file system.

    • 4 to 32GB cards - format using FAT32 and allocation unit size 32 kb.
SD card 64-GB SDXC cards should be formatted in exFAT file system.

[*]64GB cards - format using exFAT and allocation unit size 128 kb.

If the card contains an unsupported format such as NTFS, you'll be prompted by the phone to format the SD card in a format that is supported (FAT or exFAT depending on your SD card's size)

Hope my answers solves your problem! Formatting SD has made the size 256mb instead of 64gb :)

    Cheers!

  4. Formatting SD has made the size 256mb instead of 64gb

Samsung Evo 64GB Micro-SD Card Unable to Format.

    Hi Thomas,

We appreciate you providing us with those helpful answers.

The time duration in formatting the drive with Melchizedek's steps should only take you 3-10 minutes, depending on the size of the data you're trying to remove from the SD card.

For us to be able to isolate your concern, can you insert the SD card on a different PC and see if the issue persists? Or insert the SD card on a different mobile phone and see if it will be detected? If the issue is still the same, your SD card might be the
cause of the error you're receiving when you're trying to format it.

Let us know what happens after the above mentioned troubleshooting steps.

    Thank you.
