Windows 10: Forza Horizon 4 Failed to Download

I tried to download the Forza Horizon 4 Legendary Edition on my windows 10 from the windows store. After completing the download, it said the program encountered an error, and restarted the download. Then, the download size kept increasing and after researching for a while I found that this "infinite download" problem is really common and that there are many tutorials on the internet offering solutions. I tried most of them yet none of them changed anything. I then scanned for any windows updates, and after updating the computer, the download size for the file nearly tripled going from around 64 to 170.80! Can anyone offer any help?

Backup of Forza Horizon 4

Hello to all here,

i want to backup my Forza Horizon 4 which is installed to c:\programfiles\WindowsApps. I used the build in backup functionality of Windows 10 to back it up. If i now will make a fresh Windows 10 installation and then restore my backup back to c:\programfiles\WindowsApps will Forza Horizon 4 be recognized as installed on my new system? What happens if this fails? If it fails i have no possibilty to delete the 70gb of the restauration because i have no access to the WindowsApps Folder which means i have to reinstall Windows 10 again.

Did somebody already tried to backup and restore Windows 10 Apps successfully?

Forza Horizon 4 will not unistall

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I'd suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.

Click on Start menu, and look for Forza Horizon 4. Right click on it and select
Uninstall.

You can also uninstall the game through settings by following the below steps.

1. Press Windows key + I together to open Settings.

2. Click on Apps > Apps & features.

3. Click on Forza Horizon 4.

4. Select Uninstall.

Let us know how it goes. I will keep working with you until it's fixed.
