Windows 10: Forza Horizon 4 will not launch past splash screen.

I purchased Horizon 4 a few days ago and have not gotten it to launch on my desktop yet. I am on Windows 10 build 1803. I have an overclocked i7-4770k and a GTX 1080, so hardware should not be a problem.


Troubleshooting I have already attempted (nothing worked):

• Turning my computer off and on (obviously)
• Updating my NVIDIA drivers
• Updating the game
• Resetting the game
• Uninstalling and reinstalling the game
• Resetting the Microsoft store
• Performed a clean boot
• Enabled the hidden administrator account on windows and tried to boot through that
• Removed the overclock from my GPU
• Disabled all startup applications
• Installing another app through the store
• Edited the registry to boot through the application file in the WindowsApps folder
• Updating windows
• Disabling the internet and trying to boot
• Uninstalling all antivirus
• Disabling the XBOX service on Windows
• Used the system file checker to repair corrupt files

I really have no idea what else to do. I haven't had this much of an issue with a game since the new SimCity. Interestingly, I also have Forza Horizon 3 installed and it is doing the exact same thing. I feel like this is definitely an issue with the windows store, so I'll just stick with steam for now (because all of my other games still work!). Is there anything else I can try?

Forza Horizon 4 Doesn't Work

Hi, I just bought the ultimate edition for forza horizon 4, I install it, I launch it, it has a splash screen, and then immediately crashes, seconds later. I uninstalled the game, and reinstalled it, and that didn't fix it. Is there a fix? or can I refund
it? completely unacceptable for a 100$ game to not **** work.

 

Forza Horizon 4 will not launch past initial launch window

I purchased forza horizon 4 ultimate edition yesterday on the 28th and after I installed it I noticed that the car pass had not installed. So when I went to install it, it gave me errors and said that something unexpected happened. So when it finally installed
the launch window immediately closed whereas before it would stay open for a while and then close. I have no idea what is wrong but my forza horizon 3 is doing the exact same thing.
