Windows 10: found.000 folder, dir0000.chk folder

Recently, my downloads folder was relocated/moved to a different folder. The error message was saying that it was moved or deleted. I downloaded a program to let me see what was in these folders, and it turns out everything was in the found000 folder and the dir0000.chk folder. I do not have access to these folder to restore my files to the correct place. Does anyone know how I can access these folders to restore my personal files?

Windows 10 - Unable to clear or delete found.000 or dir0000.chk

Using WinTree I have found the found.000 folder on my pc. This is a hidden folder which contains dir0000.chk which is 9.8Gb in size. I have been unable to empty or delete this folder despite giving myself full admin permissions. If it was a small folder
I wouldn't be particularly bothered but it is 9.8Gb of unwanted data.

If anyone has any suggestions I will be extremely grateful.

Invisible found.000 folder after chkdsk

I ran a chkdsk because I downloaded some files with some apparently corrupt data.

I want to know the names of these files so I Can re-download okay versions.

A chkdsk puts the corrupt ones in a 'lost and found': "Lost and found is located at \found.000"

The folder exists in D:, but cannot be seen even in explorer, with hidden folders shown.

When visiting D:\FOUND.000 via explorer I get the folder is not accessible. Access is denied.

I can view the folder dir via cmd with admin privileges, there are some files I was able to recover but I want to get hold of the whole folder and using cmd gives a dead end when I get these . dirs:

Directory of D:\found.000\dir0000.chk

How can I access the folder when windows is hiding it further?

.CHK files from a SD Card or USB Flash Drive ?

I'll simplify the the problem and what might cause it, and the solutions that I've tried, but first, let me mention some concepts:

• File extension: .CHK
• File type: Recovered File Fragments
• They're stored in a folders called, FOUND.000,
  FOUND.001 etc.

Problems that might cause the issue

• Disk Errors: usually because a sudden shutdown while the relevant files were opened.
• Unplugging the USB Flash or the SD card without using the safely remove device

Possible Solutions

• CHK-Mate which has failed.
• ZAR or called as Zero Assumption Recovery which has failed too.
• Performing a Disk Check using the built-in Windows Tools which didn't fix the files.

I need a solution because the files are very important.

I appreciate any solutions or explanations.
