  1. Found a fix for File Explorer search bar not finding files

I was having the exact same issue as the one found in this article: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/file-explorer-search-not-finding-files-that-are/f943728c-7a32-476f-8302-c7b6aabed95dI went through all the different "fixes" found online and on this forum, but none of them were working. After some time trying desperately to figure this out, I discovered a bug within windows itself. I had an older SSD connected to my computer that I cloned in order to upgrade to a new larger SSD. Turns out that the computer was getting confused between two indexing locations. When I tried

  2. File Explorer Search Not Working

I am trying to search in File Explorer (Windows Explorer, My Computer) and it will not find anything. I can copy text from a name in the list and paste it in the search box and it still finds nothing. I have looked at the suggestions that have been posted and nothing I find that is relative to this works. Anyone have any suggestions? I am running Win 10 Pro on an I3 coustom desktop computer.

Cannot find Desktop Icon in File Explorer

Now that is interesting. If I do what you suggest, File Explorer Address bar changes to C:\Users\username\documents and the missing ICONS are there. But there is still not a "Desktop" folder.

Is this a step in the right direction?

File Explorer search finds noting, what to do?

As yet we can at best only hazard a wild guess as to what the problem is - insuffiicient data to reach a logical conclusion, Captain. Suggesting remedies at present is shooting in the dark (without night vision). Even if there's a problem with search indexing, file explorer would start a slow search (think green progress bar). Literally reading the question, file explorer does find something... it finds 'noting'. I.e. search is functional to some degree ... *chuckle
