    Found an unknown drive in the explorer.


    Today I found an unknown drive in the "Devices and Drives" section of the computer. Here I have attached a screenshot of that section. Is this any security issue or windows related issue? Note: I didn't install any new software or drivers.

    Unknown drive

    Hi Harold,

    The unknown drive could be a system recovery drive or some other drive which you don't have access to it. You may follow these steps to check what kind of drive it is:

    • Click on Search bar.
    • Type diskmgmt.msc.
    • Check description of the ESP (FFound an unknown drive in the explorer. :) drive. Also check whether the drive is recovery drive or System Drive.

    how to copy files from the CD to the Computer drive

    Hi Hankriegler,

    I would suggest you to follow the steps below:


    • Press Windows key + X.

    • Click file explorer from the list.

    • Select the CD/DVD drive and hit Enter.

    • Select the files you want to copy from the CD/DVD, then select the drive where you want to paste or save.
