HelloOur Coverity scan identify Uninitialized scalar field and Uninitialized pointer field issues using a CMap MFC class.andDo we use CMap in a wrong way? There is no special construct available which would initialize those inner fields. Can you give us an advise how shall we treat the Coverity finding or if this is a false positive finding?Best Regards

    :)

Found the Coverity issues with Microsoft C++ libraries

    Hi Team,

We are using Visual Studio 2013 professional version to build our application source code (VC++) and we have used some Microsoft C++ libraries in our code.

We are doing the Coverity scan for the code using the 'Coverity 2020.06' version tool.

MSDN libraries are not part of our codebase even though the Coverity tool is adding MSDN libraries in Coverity scan.

Due to this, we are facing Coverity issues related to MSDN libraries.

Please find the some of below issues which we are facing during scanning:

    1) Issue Type: Improper use of negative value

    Filename : /Program Files (x86)/Microsoft Visual Studio 12.0/VC/include/xlocnum

    2) Issue Type: Uninitialized scalar field

    Filename : /Program Files (x86)/Microsoft Visual Studio 12.0/VC/include/streambuf

    3) Issue Type: Uncaught exception

    Filename : /Program Files (x86)/Microsoft Visual Studio 12.0/VC/atlmfc/include/atlbase.h

Please find the attached screenshots for the above-mentioned issues.

    Case 2:

    Please find the below queries:

    1) Can you please provide any solution for these coverity issues ?

    2) Is there any workaround for these issues ?

Duplicate Music Library Sign Windows 10

    Hi,

Thank you for posting your question in Microsoft community.

I understand your concern regarding the issue that you are facing.

Can you check if both the folders contain all the music that you need?

Where the original files are saved so that we can troubleshoot this issue further?

I suggest you to follow the below steps to resolve the issue.

    Method: Restore default Libraries

I would suggest you try the restore library option and check if it helps. Please back up all the files in the library before trying this, just to make sure you don’t lose any files. Refer these steps:

    • Open Windows explorer
    • In the left panel, locate Library and right click on it
    • Click “restore default libraries” option
    • Check if the issue persists.
Hope this helps. If the issue remains unresolved, please get back to us and we would be happy to help.
