Windows 10: Four monitor setup with HD6870?

Hello everyone.


I want to make a four monitor setup with my Radeon HD6870 and I've tried many configurations but still can't manage to turn on the fourth screen.


These are the connectors of the graphics card:





At the moment, I've got three monitors working this way:





The fourth screen I want to connect is a Philips TV (It has VGA and HDMI connectors).


I wanted to ask here first before I start buying adapters, do you know how to get this working?

Hyper-V/VMConnect/RDP multi monitor on Windows 10

Hi,

I have installed Hyper-V on Windows 10 Enterprise and have also installed a Gen 2 VM with Windows 10 Enterprise.

I have four physical monitors and would ideally like a connect 2 of monitors to the VM and rest for local use.

I have added RemoteFX adapter with 2 monitors 1920x1200 with 512MB dedicated Video Memory.

Whenever I connect using RDP or VMConnect and have Use all my monitors option ticked. It only connects me to one screen.

When I connected to it for the very first time, I was able to all my four monitors connected, but since then it doesnt connect all four but only one.

With regards to 2 on 4 setup I found a group policy setting where you can limit the maximum number of monitors, I had set it to 2, but then I remove the group policy setting as either way I couldn't get more than one monitor connected.

Right click on desktop and select Display Settings (Image 1)





(IMAGE 2) Highlight/select one of the monitor images and go down you will see the "Multiple Displays" and select "Extend desktop to this display" and check box to "Make this my main display" on the one you want as main display





(Image 3) Then click on the other monitor and go down you will see the "Multiple Displays" and select "Extend desktop to this display"





Or you can choose to mirror them.

 

I have zero personal experience with this. (I use a single 3840 X 2160 28" monitor.)

Google may be your friend on this. I suggest though, using the HDMI connection to the TV rather than VGA.
