Windows 10: Fox News won’t let me comment on any story.

When I comment on any Fox News story it won’t be accepted. What’s going on? On a Lady Gaga story I commented I like her to see if that would go thru. Nope.

Banned from commenting on FOX stories?

I post regular comments on MSN stories, however it appears that I am blocked from posting ANY comments on FOX News stories on MSN. It's only FOX stories on MSN, and I have no history of comment violations. Anyone else have this issue?

Thanks Don, I'm not sure you understand; I have not been censored in what I write, I CAN'T EVEN WRITE A COMMENT on any FOX story! The text box is not live. The text box IS live on any other story on MSN! I am well aware of how the system works and the appeal process. But in this case, I can't even type a comment in the comment box of a Fox story.

I do recall when commenting was shut down. I have already also tried feedback, with no reply.

Have you noticed that on video commenting the letter "m" occasionally doesn't work? I thought it was my keyboard at first but quickly realized that it's not. Then I started to see other people's comments missing the letter "m". I haven't decided if MSN's system is that glitchy or if they think that removing a letter just slows down the inappropriate comments?

I don't write hateful or inappropriate comments. Mine tend to be fact-checks. That is why I used to write quite a few comments on Fox stories. I've only had a couple comment removed (they were direct quotes from a politician). Upon appeal they were restored.

Here's my canned response on moderation. Please see, in particular, points 4, 5 & 6.

1. You may find useful information at Microsoft News

2. There were so many unacceptable comments that commenting was shut down for a few

months not too long ago.

3. Now that commenting is allowed again, moderation is very restrictive.

4. Moderation is a dysfunctional mess. It's being done via AI, via a bot, not humans and is

random and inexplicable.

5. If a comment you tried to post was banned, you can appeal that from the Feedback link

at the bottom of nearly every MSN page. This may or may not be acted on and you may

or may not receive a reply. There used to be a more direct method, but that's been removed.

6. You can also submit feedback to MSN through Edge.

Specifically... the moderation bot is objecting to words or phrases in your comment, not the fact that you're commenting on Fox stories. The only way to get those comments past the bot is to edit out words you think it might be objecting to. Any word could be the offending one.
