Windows 10: Fps drop when i adjust volume using fn+ f3, or adjust brightness

Hello, so recently I've been facing an issue while playing games ,when i adjust my brightness or volume using fn+ f3 etc , the fps drops from 200+ to 40-50 while the volume or brightness pop up is there after that it goes back to normal

Adjusting Screen Brightness

Thanks for the suggestions, I uninstalled the display adapter and restarted my computer. When it came back on, the problem was solved and the F2 and F3 keys were able to adjust my brightness again!

 

Reverse Function Keys to default to volume/brightness adjust

I recently bought a Samsung computer with Windows 11.

On the top row of the keyboard are the Function keys (F1, F2, F12, etc) which also double as the brightness adjust, volume adjust, etc.

When I press those keys by themselves, it works as the function keys (F1, F2, etc)

However, when I hold Fn and press those keys, the keys work as the volume adjust and such.

Is there a way to reverse this, so by pressing the keys by themselves they adjust the volume, and when I hold down Fn, it works as the F1, F2 keys?

Brightness can not be adjusted.

Do let us know the following to assist you better with this issue:

• What is the make and model of your device?
• Were you able to see any error message/ error code with this issue?
• Have you tried to install all the pending updates for drivers and Windows Updates on your device?

This issue might have happened due to corrupted/ outdated drivers.

I suggest you to refer to the below Microsoft article, try the troubleshooting steps suggested to change the brightness and check if it helps.
