Windows 10: FPS Issues after installing Windows 10 updates

Hi! I recently installed a few updates for Windows 10 over the weekend and immediately after installing the updates, I've been encountering FPS issues on all the games I have installed on the laptop. In Valorant, my FPS starts at 60 then drops to 10, climbs back to to around 40 then plunges down to 1-2. The stuttering also occurs on the other games I have installed.

For reference, here are the updates that got installed:

- Feature Update for Windows 10 20H2
- Security Update for Microsoft Windows (KB5000802)
- Update for Microsoft Windows (KB4589212)
- Update for Microsoft Windows (KB4601554)
- Update for Removal of Adobe Flash Player
- Servicing Stack 10.0.19041.860

I've tried uninstalling the updates, except those in bold because they couldn't be uninstalled, but the issue still persists. I'd also like to note that I've never had these problems gaming on my laptop before. This only happened immediately after the updates were installed.

I've updated all my drivers, disabled GameDVR, set the game to high priority in Task Manager, rolled back to an older NVIDIA driver version, and uninstalled and reinstalled the games several times to no avail. I'm at my wit's end on how to solve the issue.

Any advice you might have on what to do next would be greatly appreciated.

New install Windows 10 (issue solved)

It's good that you're not experiencing any issues. Unfortunately many folks are, a quick Google search will show the same info im offering the OP.

It's basically what I mentioned above, small issues here and there ,but nothing to end your day.. for the most part.

I know it's anecdotal, but for my experience 95% of the time it's perfectly fine. The issues I've run into wouldn't be enough for me to roll back , but they would be enough (had I not installed it yet) ,to avoid it for another couple weeks which is why I'm suggesting it to the OP

There very simple and i've already tried them. The problem that i face is that the software (this app) does not find any updates for me .
Many people across the world have this issues .So you need the proxy etc thing to get it to work.

 

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
