Wondering if I got a fraudulous email from someone. The email had the microsoft icon so it looked legitimate. It said my windows support plan was expired and I have it on auto renew so they are going to bill my account that I have on file with microsoft. There was also a number to call if I want it canceled.

Is there any such thing as a windows support plan? I don't ever remember subscribing to anything like that but I have had major problems in the last year and had to return a brand new computer because it didnt work right. The company I bought it from said they would have to wipe it and reinstall windows and sell it as refurbished. Then they tried to fix my old computer and installed a trial microsoft 365 which I told them not to do. It happened to be an enterprise licensce and they said they don't have the key and I can't take it off my computer. I already have a microsoft family account that I pay 9.99 a month for. Is there any number I can call or a web browser address where I can check to see if I have any windows subscriptions or microsoft subscriptions that I dont remember or know about?

    :)

Did TechPowerup give my email to other companies?(GPU Z contest)

There's any number of ways that your email address can get on a spammers list, including these "facepunch" forums - what are they? Care to give us a link? Just, because you can't think of any other way it happened, doesn't mean it didn't. How do you know your PC isn't harbouring malware, for example? That will steal your email address and a whole lot more, wouldn't it?

TPU is a well established and highly respectable website & organization and I think it's a bit much to register on here and with your very first post to suggest that TPU would give away your address to spammers of viagra and other fraudulent emails from criminals. *Slap :slap:
