  1. Freefixer called Supremo.exe

Man called my cell saying he had a refund for support services. He had me click Fn + r and type 1234computer.com which took me took a free fixer site. He wanted me to download Supremo.exe. This would allow his supervisor to gain remote access to my computer. I did not download the program.

What recourse does Microsoft or I have against this type criminal activity. I tracked down the incoming number 64 21 452 43794 to New Zealand. Does Microsoft have a reporting system to state or federal cyber law enforcement?

    :)

    Supremo

Hi Dale, Supremo is a VPN (virtual Private Network) piece of software

    Supremo

    Open Settings - Apps

Scroll down through the list of installed apps and uninstall it from there

Also see if it is listed in Windows Startup items and remove it from there:

Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager

    Click on the Startup Tab

See if Supremo is listed there

If it is, select it and click 'Disable'

    Close Task Manager

Click your Start Button, type msconfig and hit Enter

When the System Configuration dialog opens, click on the Services Tab

Check the box marked 'Hide Microsoft Services'

In the remaining list see if Supremo s listed, uncheck any you find

    Click Apply and OK

Restart your System and this annoyance will be gone . . .

  3. Supremo scam

Supremo does not install itself, it just runs from an exe file. Find supremo.exe, it's likely in your downloads folder, and just delete it. See

    this article from Supremo.

Uninstall Supremo in just a few steps

Supremo gives remote access but who knows what the scammer may have installed? Run a full virus scan. To be totally safe use 'Reset this PC' in Settings >Update & Security >Recovery or do a clean install. Unfortunately this wipes out all your installed programs.
    (Back up your data!).
