    Freezes at Windows start-up and while using pc - HP 3010 MT PRO - Windows 10 1903 Version...


    Good morning,


    For the past four weeks, I've been having trouble with my workstation under Windows 10.

    Without warning, it freezes on its own and no more action is possible (neither keyboard nor mouse, no application reacts).

    I am then obliged to make a forced stop of the machine and restart it.

    And everytime I start the computer, it freezes at the windows logo appearing. I'm still forced to make a sudden stop of the machine and restart for the pc to end up on the user login screen.

    After searching the event log, I can't identify the cause except for errors on(Service Control Manager, DistributedCOM, Kernel-Power).

    The system is up to date and updates are done regularly via windows update.

    To help you with the analysis, you'll find attached two dmp debug founded in the computer.


    As I can't understand what is written in those debugs, I'll be grateful for someone to help me resolve this issue.

    Windows 10 Tweaks

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

    As far as I am aware there is no Windows 10 Pro version.
    But I'd be happy to be wrong.

    Windows 10 Home will be $119, Pro $199.

    Microsoft: Windows 10 Home costs $119, Pro costs $199



    Which is good news actually, because Windows 8.1 is loads cheaper than previous versions (retail licensing at Windows 7 OEM prices). And it sort of puts a huge hole in the Windows subscription theory.
