Windows 10: freezing and audio loop

    freezing and audio loop


    Hey

    so recently (last night) i updated to the 20H2 windows 10 version from my previous 1909. Today, when i run my pc, i have had 3 different occasions (in game, watching twitch and idle on discord) where i had a weird freeze and audio loop. This forced me to force shut down my pc. are there anyways to fix this?

    I also checked the update sections and i had these waiting:

    2021-01 Update for Windows 10 Version 20H2 for x64-based Systems (KB4023057)

    2021-02 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8 for Windows 10, version 20H2 for x64 (KB4601050)

    2020-10 Security Update for Adobe Flash Player for Windows 10 Version 20H2 for x64-based Systems (KB4580325)

    NOTE* i have just recently installed these updates and will sooner or later find out if i will still crash

    Do i need to update these to fix the problem? or is there anything else that may be causing this?

    Specs: Ryzen 5 2600, MSI Radeon 570, asrock b450 steel legend, corsair vengeance rgb pro and corsair cxm750m

    OS Build: 19042.867

    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Can not record audio.

    Hi,

    We suggest that you run troubleshooting for Audio Recording by following these steps:

    • Type troubleshooting on the search box.
    • Click View all.
    • Select Recording Audio.
    • Follow the steps to troubleshoot Recording Audio.

    This issue can be due to several reasons. Let's get your audio and sound issue sorted, we suggest that you follow the steps provided below:

    • Press Windows key.
    • Type Control Panel in the search box.
    • Select Sound.
    • Go to Communications tab.
    • Click Do nothing.
    • Chose Apply and Ok.

    Random audio stuttering and mouse freezing


    "High Definition Audio" suggests you only have the generic, basic function, Windows installed sound driver rather than the correct sound hardware driver. If this is the case, install the correct sound driver as step 1.
