Windows 10: Freezing Screen

Hey guys, I've tried many things, but I can't seem to fix the problem. My computer keeps freezing at random moments first only while playing games, but now also while using word or chrome. The screen flickers once and then the screen freezes. The sound keeps playing in the background but the monitors turn black after a while and I can't use them anymore. I have to hard restart the pc before it works again. The freezes are getting more frequent 1 per 2-3 hours, or every time I play a game. the reliabilty history My pc is in Dutch, so dont know if this is the correct english term says:Een&

Andre, thanks for your suggestions. I performed all steps as you listed and it appears that there were

some problems that have been corrected. I will let you know in a day or so if the "freeze" problem

occurs again. Many thanks for your help --- this took longer than I expected!

Screen freeze

'screen freeze' is a very vague term.

Can you describe the issue with more detail?

ex: the image on screen freezes, but i can hit the power button and windows shuts down normally, and i can hear sounds in the background.
