  1. Freezing when opening up the HWInfo software

So, I have a fairly new machine with these specs:

    CPU: Ryzen 3700X

GPU: Nvidia Geforce RTX 2060 Super

    RAM: G.SKill Trident Z Neo DDR4-3600, 18-19-19-42

    PSU: Seasonic M12i 620 Watts

Every time my system boots up, I usually fire up the HWInfo software so that I can monitor temperatures when I am gaming. But sometimes (and it is happening more frequently now more than ever before), the software freezes the entire PC and the only way for me to fix it would be to completely shut down my system and turning it on again.

I am concerned that this problem might bork my system somehow if this continues. I do not know what to do. Can someone help me fix this problem?

TLDR: My computer sometimes freezes when firing up HWInfo.

    is this software good HWiNFO??

I would not use it if I didn't like it. It tells me more than cpuid hwmonitor does. I have both softwares. I use cpuid testing overclocks. When I want to monitor temperatures or other information usually to test crunching stability I use hwinfo.

Freezing when opening up the HWInfo software

Overclocking / Undervolting guide for Vega 56 or 64?

    Here's a quick laundry list:

List of software to use for overclocking and testing
    Examples:
Wattman (and how to find and use it, like an overview, including profiles)
Unigine Valley or Heaven (use this for quick testing while changing settings in Wattman and checking for stability / artifacts) ...just suggesting this
How to monitor cores / mem speeds and temps during testing (I've seen screen overlays, and others using GPUz)

    Step-by step overclocking in Wattman
    Fan speeds
    Power limit
    Temp limit
    Voltages
    Core speeds
    Memory speeds
