Windows 10: Frequent BSOD since March 2020

Hi Community,


I’ve had frequent BSOD on my laptop since March 2020. It’s a Samsung Notebook 9 Pro 15” running Windows 10 Home 2004, OS Build19041.450.

• 
  I’ve tried resetting Windows and also completely reinstalled it.
  
  
• 
  Windows Updates are current.
  
  
• 
  Samsung updates & drivers are current.
  
  
• 
  Nothing is flagged in Device Manager.
  
  
• 
  Memtest found no errors; I’ve run it multiple times.
  
  
• 
  System File Check SFC did find and fix errors a few days ago, but BSODs continue just the same.
  

After my last reset of Windows, I avoided installing new software other than Chrome, pCloud to back up & share files, WinDirStat, and the debugging tools. I’m still getting several BSOD per day including the first time I tried to type up this cry for help!


The only odd thing I’m doing is dual booting Ubuntu 18.04 -- But I only started doing that after the BSOD issues to see if it would be more stable. It seems to be, but I’m not 100% sure.

I’m running Driver Verifier, but the last BSOD did not seem to be caused by verifier; at least, it looked like a regular BSOD to me.

• A list of the latest servicing stack updates for each operating system can be found in ADV990001. This list will be updated whenever

• Windows 10 updates are cumulative. The monthly security release includes all security fixes for vulnerabilities that affect Windows 10, in addition to non-security updates. The updates are available via the Microsoft
  Update Catalog.

apps no longer in a verticle list but a grid after update mid march 2020

Aftera windows upgrade mid march 2020 I no linger have a vertical apps list but do have it selected in the setting. Instead I have to go to the top and select show apps and then they appear very much as that did in the vertical list but instead they
are on the right laid out as sort of a grid
