  1. Frequent BSoD's the Past Week After Noticing Insanely High CPU Temps

Starting about a week ago, I got a BSoD while playing rocket league. I assumed it was just some random fluke and ignored it. The next day, it happened again while doing something else, and I decided to do some general checking of my pc parts, and saw that my CPU (AMD Ryzen 3600, Stock Cooler) reached 105 degrees Celsius at one point. I had never had any problems with temperature before but now that I've looked into it, I'm worried. In idle, it runs from about 70-90 degrees celsius and goes into the 100's when doing anything. Since I've found this out, the BSoD's have become more frequent. What confuses me is that most of BSoD's have stop codes relating to kernels, memory management, and IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. All the research I have tried to do about the BSoD's comes back with the same advice. I've done the sfc scan, I've done the memory troubleshooting, I've updated all my drivers, but it doesn't seem to work. Today, while trying to fix the problem, I got the blue screen about 10 times in total. At this point, the only thing I can try to do is fix the CPU temps by ordering a new cooler, and apply new thermal paste. If anyone has any advice, I would highly appreciate it, as this is making me want to pull my hair out. 2. Mysterious intermittent high CPU temps with no active processes - Windows Update related?

    Hi there -

TLDR: CPU temps are really high, it isn't a CPU cooler issue and no obvious CPU usage causing it. Out of ideas to fix it.

I am running Windows 10 on a machine with an 6850k and a Corsair H100 AIO cooler. I have the CPU OC'd to 4.1GHz. About 8 or 9 months ago, I noticed that my CPU temps shot up seemingly overnight from 30c - 35c idle to 40c - 50c with the same ambient temp
of around 20c - 23c. I monitored the CPU usage and never say anything strange or new - system idle remained at 99% and there was an occasional blip of less than 1% overall CPU usage from a combination of Norton, Task Manager, Open hardware manager and a couple
other minor things. Eventually, the idle temps increased to 50c - 55c with temps hitting 85c - 100c under load. I applied new thermal paste and re-seated the cpu block. Temps dropped about 10c, but then increased again after a few weeks.

Fast forward several months (a week ago). I moved to a new home and when I setup the PC, magically the temps were back to where they should be and stayed that way until today. I've been struggling to get the Windows Update to build 1803 since for almost
18 months. My snooze option expired last night - as usual, I woke up, turned on the PC this morning (it had shut down while trying to update - I usually leave it running) and everything was still ok (I confirmed that for about the 30th time, the update failed).
I decided to try to actually fix the problem - did some troubleshooting, followed some suggestions for bios tweaks and installing the update manually - everything failed, so I finally just hid the updating using Microsoft's tool. Now, however, my CPU temps
are all jacked up again. There are no system processes running at more than 1 or 2% CPU usage. Overall CPU usage fluctuates between .1 and maybe 2.5% while idle.

    I'm at a loss.

High end PC with FPS drops. High cpu temps in Speccy

I have been dealing with fps drops while gaming for a month now, and I have tried everything to fix it. It's been driving me nuts, considering the hardware shouldn't be performing so badly. When I do a userbenchmark everything looks fine and dandy, but in game I experience stuttering.

I can mention a lot of things, but today I downloaded speccy and noticed that CPU temps show up way too high. It goes down to 74 and jumps up to 82 on a loop. I dont know what's going on.

    Please help!

I have an AIO Kraken x62 and their software is showing a different and much better temperature.

If the temperature is indeed over 80C on idle, that would explain all of my performance issues in game.

I'm looking forward to getting some assistance. I have been getting depressed recently when i'm in the mood for gaming, and end up stopping and spending hours looking for a fix instead. I've been doing so for the past weeks almost everyday. I couldn't figure out the issue, but maybe speccy has revealed the answer. Or is it an incorrect reading?

    High CPU/GPU Temps

    Hi,

I've noticed high CPU/GPU temps when my watercooler pump and fan are maxed out and all the fans are maxed out currently I only have a browser open and my temps are as follows:

What is also concerning is currently my GTX 1070 is only powering the 2 monitors(Not any games) and it's really hot and the fans only seem to be spinning extremely slow considering I have them on Max.

My PC also makes quite the noise, like a constant buzzing noise the CPU is not even under heavy load at the moment and the noise is constant.

    Thanks.
