  1. Frequent crashes of Chromium-based applications

I am a developer. My machine has 8GB of RAM and has a core i5. Usually my workflow involves 8-10 tabs open on any chrome based browser with VSCode and other tools. Every now and then I find chrome and chromium-based apps (like VSCode) crashing. Google Chrome closes unexpectedly often and Aw Snap has been very frequent. I do not think the problem is with the software, but with Windows itself or maybe due to lack of RAM Surprisingly, the task manager shows barely 70-80% of RAM usage. However, spikes are seen in disk usage (100%).

Should I increase my RAM to 16GB to solve the issue?

P.s. A Typical Linux System in the same system can handle around 15 tabs and more whereas on Windows, it can barely reach 7 with other software running in the background.
