  1. Frequently have to reset network as speed drops to <1Mbs

I am having an issue where relatively frequently my network speed will drop to really low speeds . I have found a temporary solution which is to do a network reset however this is a pain to do each time this happens and I hope for a more long term solution if it happens again. I am using an ethernet connection which is then routed through powerline adapters to my router.

    :)

Internet connection drops frequently, requires hard reset to fix

I don't think the router is at fault as you have mentioned that other devices working fine, I'm sure that you have the latest driver for your adapter, go to Device Manager, right click the adapter then select Properties, click Power Management tab, untick "Turn off this device to save power..." box.
You can also switch to Open DNS or google DNS, open Network & Sharing Centre, click your network, click Properties in WiFi status window(bottom left), highlight "Internet Protocol version IPV4..." and click Properties, change the DNS server as in my snip.
I'm using Opendns, if you want google dns, it's 8.8.8.8 Primary address and 8.8.4.4 Secondary.
I would suggest you to leave MTU settings alone for the time being.

Frequently have to reset network as speed drops to <1Mbs

    Network speeds drastically reduced overnight.

Issue:Overnight my download speeds have dropped drastically on this PC. Other devices show typical speeds of 65 Mbps down and 10 Mbps up. This PC is showing roughly 5-7 Mbps down and 10 Mbps up on 5 GHz network and around 25 down and 10 up on my 2.4 GHz network. This is consistent over multiple tests and browsers of course.

    Info:

    • Windows 10-1511 Build 10586.164
    • No firewall/AV enabled (Windows Defender disabled in GPEdit.)
    • Linksys WMP600N Wireless adapter (802.11 b/g/n Dual band).
    • D-Link DIR-850L router (802.11b/g/n/ac Dual band).

    What I've tried/checked so far:
    • Malwarebytes turns up nothing on full system scan.
    • Task Manager / Resource Monitor shows nothing is using network out of the ordinary.
    • Tried 4 different WLAN driver versions with the same results no matter which is installed.
    • Ran TCP/IP stack reset (netsh i i r r).
    • Reset winsocks (netsh winsock reset).
    • Flushed DNS.
    • Restarted PC.
    • Powercycled router/modem.

Attempting Ethernet would be extremely challenging and I'm 99% certain this is specific to the WLAN adapter. Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
