Windows 10: Fresco Logic USB TO VGA/HDMI Adapter Not working in 1980*1200 resolution

I have tried several times but the Fresco Logic USB to VGA Adapter is not working in 3.0 mode and the resolution i am getting on the second monitor is 800*600. Can anybody help here ?I tried to reinstall the driver after uninstalling it several times , but it didn't work

With a little research, I found that it is a common issue with this adapter, here is a possible fix that I've found:

Go to the Fresco Logic driver installation folder (default path: C:\Program Files\Fresco Logic\Fresco Logic USB Display Driver\FL2000\x64) and open fresco_monitor_tool.exe . Set the resolution and refresh rate but slowly increase from 800x600 until you find a suitable working resolution. Set the refresh rate to 60HZ, and if needed, reduce it. Select Set EDID to apply the changes, Clear EDID will clear the changes you did.

 

fresco logic usb hdmi adapter, no sound.

simple question...does fresco logic usb to hdmi have the capabilitys for sound to the tv or not? I have windows 7 ultimate 32 bit, been trying everything for days now, still no sound,

Hi, I had a USB to HDMI adaptor which had the same problem. I had bought it from the supplier Flyland on 4th June 2020 from Amazon.co.uk, and had returned it by 6th July 2020. It cost £15.99 at the time.

I was able to get hold of another HDMI to USB adapter through my place of work. The only thing different was that it had "RayCue" printed on it. I have not had any issues with that one and am sill using it 2 years later. I checked in the Device Manager and it is listed as "Fresco Logic IDDCX Adapter".

Maybe it is an older model?
