Windows 10: Fresh Win 10 Pro install says on business network when its home and cant change

Hello,A friend of mine has closed his business and was throwing out 3 PC's so I got them and the version of Windows they have aren't activating.So I have done a fresh install using the Microsoft Windows install tool downloaded direct from MS and it installs fine, I am buying a key from Microsoft but I wont be able to enter it as the PC says "Windows cant activate Windows on this device because we can't connect to your organisations activation server."I have changed the PC name, I have gone into "System Properties" and try changing the "Network ID" to home and it says restart PC. Fresh USB Windows 10 Install - Failing

I am trying to install a fresh copy (reformatted the hard disk) of windows 10 using a USB

• Created an installation media on a USB flash drive (Win 10 pro) from this page Download Windows 10
• Changed the boot order on the other PC so that it boots using USB
• Selected custom install
• Installing Windows goes through the following steps successfully: Copying Windows Files, Getting Files ready for installation, Installing features, Installing updates and before the last step (Finishing up), it restarts
• Then it goes back to the start of the installation steps

I am stuck and have read numerous posts but don't know what to do to install a fresh copy of Win 10.

 

Fresh Install of Win 10 without Serial Key?

Looking to reformat a laptops HDD, and then reinstall Win 10 fresh. The problem is it came pre-installed with Win 8 and I did the free upgrade to Win 10. How exactly would I re-format the HDD, reinstall Win 10 and ensure it reactivates properly? I don't see a Win 8 serial key anywhere in the contents of the box.

 

Windows 10 Pro Will Not Change From Business to Home

Windows 10 Pro Installed With Avast Premium on a desktop. It was a clean install upgrade from Windows 7.

I have encountered networking issues which blocks from changing the netork type from public to private. It was resolved in earlier versions by changing the type of computer from business to home use. I have tried this in Windows 10 by going to network
ID making the change and restarting. However, every attempt has failed as it always reverts back to business and refuses to change.

I have disabled Avast a,d switched off firewalls temporarily but it still has no effect. There is something I am missing but despite searching I haven' found the solution.

Any suggestions?
