Windows 10: Fresh Windows 10 install on a new PC not working

Hi everyone,

I’m coming here as a last resort and I think I’m at the limits of my technical knowledge, and I would really appreciate some help on this.

I’m have just build a new PC, all new parts, nothing has been used before.

I bought a Windows 10 Pro USB + Product Key, and after I select to install 64 bit, I keep getting a winload.efi 0xc000000d error.

I have looked about online but all the guides are for people that have already installed windows previously, this is a fresh install.

I don’t understand why this is happening, surely an official microsoft USB would work?

I also have tried creating a new installation media on a separate computer, however that is not working either as the only other computer I have is a macbook, and it keeps running into errors.

Unfortunately due to the lockdown in my area, I can’t easily find a Windows computer to create a new install media.

Any advice would be appreciated!

Installing Windows 10 on New PC?

I'm going to be building a new PC on Christmas and want to install Windows 10 on it. I have Windows 10 on my current PC, which I installed upgrading from 8.1 with the files on a USB. How do I go about installing a clean copy of Windows 10 on this new PC? I think I recall something about installing it once makes Microsoft recognize your hardware, but since this will be a PC I'm not sure what steps I need to take. Do I need to go 8.1 -> 10 or is there a method of going directly to 10?
