Hi thereBecause of a some serious issue I got with my notebook, making it impossible to use ALL Windows 10 recovery tools, probably because of corrupted data and later ALL attempts to load Windows, even for a fresh installation from external media like DVD & USB drive almost ALL being interrupted by diverse blue screens, at one point, I managed to get to start an installation, but all was futile because Windows claimed the drive, will all ist partitions were not GPT formatted after trying to format C. That means I could not continue. The problem is I had at this point deleted C, thinking t

Thanks for your reply. I used my m8s program and it worked like a dream, recovered all the files and also deleted ones from yrs back, was amazed how well it did. Next step is i will use that Partition Table Doctor to recover the deleted partition. Thanks for the link *Toast :toast:

I've hp dv 6226tx.

I've ost my recovery disks and i need to reinstall windows vista in my laptop.

it has d: as recovery partition, nut i had created 3 other partition too in my hdd.

is it possible to restore my laptop using this partition? if yes, how?

I've tried F11 but it does nothing and F10 leads to bios setup.

Will deleting the factory partition render the recovery disk useless?

More than likely it is of no use NOW . The recovery disk is nothing more than drivers and some BS . You will not get the OS and recovering from a recovery disk only works if the drive partition is fine and has been untouched by any one .
The best thing to do is delete all the partitions and just install windows on the HDD make your own recovery disk and your done not to mention you get all that drive space back .
