Windows 10: From TV Bluetooth transmitter to Bose / other Blue tooth speakers

Hi folks.
Not specifically a Windows question although it does have some relevance too if using a laptop say.

I've got a Blue tooth transmitter which can transmit analog or the optical output audio from the TV as a blue tooth signal. The TV itself doesn't have blue tooth capabilities. I'm trying to get rid of messy cables all over the place and using Wireless speakers seems a good way to go --TV stuff doesn't have to be ultimate hi-fi so blue tooth is perfectly good enough here and the DAC's in the speaker set are more than adequate.

Now what I need is how do I pair that with blue tooth speakers - obviously there's no "Screen" or keyboard on the speakers !!!!

I'm sure people on this forum have done this type of thing. The TV itself doesn't have blue tooth but the transmitter seems to function OK (red led and blue Bluetooth TX - transmit) lights on. So how do I pair this thing with the speakers ???

I know my phone can be used to scan for blue tooth devices but I want to pair the TV with a speaker not the phone.

Any windows apps or android stuff for this purpose.

I have a question about the windows 8 music player. on the Nokia 920.

Edit: After some further testing I believe it has to do with you changing audio outputs. For example, if i'm listening to a book over blue tooth, turn the car off or disconnect the blue tooth and let the media play through the phone itself, then pause
it seems to hold it. But if i just pause it while connected to bluetooth it does not hold the place (once you disconnect from bluetooth), I have also noticed the same issue with my Bose earbuds, as soon as they are disconnect/and or connected it resets my
paused media, it just disappears.

So for me, a working fix so far is to disconnect from blue tooth, and or unplug my headphones then allow the media to play through the device speakers itself then hit pause. I will be testing the re-connection phase later, but I'm pretty sure if i start
playing the media while blue tooth is connecting it should work fine, but I fear upon re-connection with Bluetooth or headphones it will clear the recent media pause as well.

I have a tv bluetooth transmitter and a bluetooth neckloop receiver (for my hearing aids), and all I do is put both devices in pairing mode (varies but on my transmitter I just hold the power on button for a few seconds until the led flashes rapidly). I do basically the same on neckloop (different button) and they just connect - these devices nearly always use default 0000 as the connecting password and you never need to have any keyboard or mouse connection.

So you should just need to read manual on transmitter and receiver to work out how to put into pairing mode.

Temporarily turn off bluetooth on any other devices , so they do not preferentially try and connect.

Now I can move speakers around etc with no cables all over the place.
