Windows 10: From Unlicense to License on Microsoft Legal

Dear All,


i wanna ask about license,


early condition:

my windows 10 pro is unlicensed, then i bought the license so ill put that product key onto my PC,



questions:

when i wanna make my windows 10 pro licensed, do i have to reinstall the windows then put the key on, or just enter that product key that i bought (does Microsoft allow this method legally?)?

If that does not resolve this for you, follow these steps to perform a full repair of your Office installation . . .

Open Control Panel - Programs and Features

Click Microsoft Office in the list of installed applications

At the top, click 'Change'

On the resulting dialog, click 'Repair' - choose the Online Repair, it is a comprehensive fix

That should fix any issues with your Office Installation . . .

 

Cannot unlicense Windows

Hi, I am having an issue unlicensing Windows. I'm trying to reinstall Windows on the same computer. I recently (a few months ago) upgraded to Windows 10 pro using a license key that I bought. Now I can't unlicense it. I used 'slmgr -upk <activation ID>'
to try and unlicense it but it says there are no license keys found. Also to complicate the issue, the laptop came with a OEM key from the manufacturer which is stored in the BIOS. I used a Nirsoft tool called ProduKey to find both keys. It doesn't matter
how I try (and which key) to unlicense using slmgr, it never seems to work. How can I transfer it over to a new installation of Windows?

First which version of office you are using and what license you have acquired?

If Office activation fails, you'll see Unlicensed Product or Non-commercial use / Unlicensed Product in the title bar of your Office apps, and most features of Office are disabled. To restore all features of Office, you'll need to fix the problem that's causing
activation to fail.
