Windows 10: Front camera working but main (rear) camera is not

I updated to the latest drivers for Intel AVStream Camera on my tablet / laptop. After the update, only the front camera works now.

Hope someone can help solve this problem.

Default camera is the front one instead of main (rear)

When I run windows.camera app version 2016.404.190.0 on Dell Latitude 11 5175 which has front and rear camera, everything works fine. When I run newer windows.camera app 2017.125.40.0 or 2017.214.20.0 (Windows 10 1703), the default camera is set to the
front (selfie), instead of rear (main camera). I'm not able to set the default camera to main (rear). Everytime I run the app, front camera is chosen, instead of main (rear).

 

Camera app not taking picture or video on rear camera

I have a Dell Venue 11 Pro (7130) with front and rear cameras. Upgraded from Win 8 to Win 10. The app works fine with the front camera - snapping pictures, etc... - but when switched to the rear (or Main) camera, it only displays the image and will not
store any pictures or video. Tapping the camera button does nothing when using the rear camera.

I have been working with Dell SupportAssist for hours. Uninstalled/reinstalled both camera drivers and Camera App. Updated the BIOS, CHIPSET, and VIDEO drivers. All had no affect on the operation of the Camera App. Any ideas?

 

Can anyone help me?
I've tried updating my camera drivers in device manager, uninstalling the camera and booting windows 10 again...to no avail. Still no main camera....only the front camera works. *Sad
Does the rear camera need seperate drivers? How do I check this?
