Windows 10: Frontier email stopped working after MS update

I've had this laptop for two years and had no issues receiving/sending emails from my Frontier email account. In May of 2021, after an automatic MS update launched on my laptop, I could no longer access or send any new emails. The posted message states: we couldn't access this account: Frontier. You might need to update your password or give the account permission to sync to this device". Updating the password did nothing in fact, the system wouldn't "take" my password information and I'm not able to determine how to give the "sync permission". I will add that I have no issues with the Front

Mail Server Settings

When you set up your email software to work with your Frontier email account, you will be asked for these facts listed below:

Incoming Mail Server (POP3): pop3.frontier.com

Incoming Mail Server Port: 995

Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): smtp.frontier.com

Outgoing Mail Server Port: 465

Your Frontier username: Your entire Frontier email address

Your Frontier password: Your email password

Email, contacts, store etc... stops to work

Hi,

I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if the issue is resolved.

• Press Windows key + X key and select
  Command Prompt (Admin)
• Type the following commands in the given order and press Enter
  key after each command.

1. net stop wuauserv

2. rename c:\windows\SoftwareDistribution softwaredistribution.old

3. net start wuauserv

• Restart the system and check if the issue is resolved.

After performing the above steps, I suggest you to try installing all the updates available for the system and check if it helps.

Frontier coding

I cancelled the Frontier ISP service after a five year period of unsatisfactory service. Frontier is not very happy with me. Therefore they would not be to interested in helping me fix my computer. TWC would not know what Frontier has changed, in my opinion,
in the registry or in the communications settings.

Is there help for this?
