Windows 10: FrontPage hangs on File/Open Site on windows 11.

Frontpage on windows 11

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

FrontPage is very old Software, it was discontinued by Microsoft in 2003.

Try running FrontPage in Windows XP Compatibility Mode to see if you can get that working in Windows 11, that would be the only hope of getting that to work on Windows 11

 

Frontpage 97 not installing

Thank you for keeping us posted. I would like to assist you with further information from here.

Please be informed FrontPage 97 is not completely compatible with the current versions of Windows line up.

As a work around I would suggest you to install the application in compatibility mode. Follow the below steps.

  Locate the executable file of the application.
  
• 
  Right-click on the setup file and click on "Properties".
  
• 
  Click on the ‘compatibility’ tab and check the box "Run this program in compatibility mode for” and select previous Operating System from the drop down.
  
• 
  Click on ‘Apply’ and click ‘OK’ and run the file to install it.
  

Additionally, also post the same query in the software supplier's website for more information regarding the issue.

Its long time to move on from frontpage 2003. Better to move on than to keep hanging onto it.
