Windows 10: FSX Activation server not responding

I recently needed to do a hard drive replacement on my laptop. I re-installed my FSX gold edition. When activating it cannot reach the activation server. I tried un-ticking all the compatability issues in the properties box as well as running as an administrator, logging in with my microsoft account, re-installing FSX and even re-installing windows 10. The same error occurs. I tried phoning the activation help line in South Africa and am told the number no longer exists. When I try a second number I get a message that the number has changed.

In my April 24th reply, I had asked you if you were able to take a flight in spite of having the Activation error come up? So could you attempt any flight to make sure that you have installed FSX properly? And try to fly for more than 30 minutes (you can
use time compression if you are short of time).

If your FSX runs properly, I can give you a possible suggestion for the Activation error. But if FSX doesn't run, then you need to go through certain steps before you can do a re-install of it.

installed FSX, entered key, activated online, answer is your product is activated, but running the game, its only for 30 minutes, so no activation.

Can't activate FSX Acceleration

Sadly, there's not much else you can do. I would keep trying and from time to time putting in your Acceleration Pack Product Key and trying to activate it. Sometimes connection to the server does fail - all you can do is keep on trying. BTW, did you
get the phone number from the list given within your FSX directory? Usually, that number (the one applicable to your country), dials a recorded service which then proceeds to activate the product.

You probably know the list I'm referring to, but in case you don't, it's in your FSX directory and under phoneactivation.xml.
