    FSX msxml 4.0 SP2 problems


    Hi everybody, I'm trying to install FSX on my PC . The installation finished without any issue. But , when I try to lunch the game, a message error appears telling me that msxml 4.0 sp 2 is not found and that I have to reinstall the game. However, msxml 4.0sp2 is already installed. I tried to reinstall both of them but the issue still exist. Can anyone help me?CordiallyDM

    Where do I go to get MSXML 4.0 SP2 (KB973688) for my Windows 7 64-bit OS. I didn't install it and it got lost or something happened to my computer before I had a chance to install it.

    Hi There,

    I can see that MSXML 6.0 v6.30.17763.1339 is installed on the machine. I want to know the service pack version of this.

    I used following steps to find file version of msxml6.dll:

    To determine the MSXML version that is installed on your computer, follow these steps:

    1. Locate the Msxml6.dll file in the following directory:
      C:\Windows\System32
    2. Right-click the Msxml6.dll file, and then click Properties.
    3. Click the Details tab to see the version information.
    I want to know the SP version of msxml6.dll file version: 6.30.17763.1339.

    Looks like it is MSXML 6.0SP3 but I am not sure. Please help.
